WWE Star Open To Doing More Commentary & Wants To Work With Michael Cole WWE

A WWE star is open to doing more commentary and wants to work with Michael Cole.

On the February 17 episode of WWE SmackDown, Carmella joined the commentary team of Michael Cole and Wade Barrett for the match between Liv Morgan and Asuka.

Carmella, Liv and Asuka were all involved in the Women’s Elimination Chamber bout at WWE Elimination Chamber, which also featured Raquel Rodriguez, Nikki Cross and Natalya.

The eventual winner of the contest was Asuka, who will now face Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39.

Speaking on WWE After The Bell, Corey Graves, who is married to Carmella, revealed that he got texts from Cole and people in production praising the former SmackDown Women’s Champion for the job she did on commentary. Discussing her experience on commentary, Mella said:

“I had so much fun. I had a blast, truly. I got to be my character, but also know the point of why I was out there. I wasn’t out there to just talk about myself. I want to make fun of Asuka, Raquel, and Nikki Cross.”

“To be honest, I think the reason why I did pretty decent at it is because I am married to you. I’m not just saying that to talk about how amazing you are, but I listen to you.”

“When you complain about something or if you’re upset or if you’re like, ‘this works so well on commentary last week when I said this and this person did that.'”

“I absorb what you say and I feel because I do pay attention to you and I watch how you do things, I was able to just apply that a little bit.”

“I’m not saying I’m going to be some amazing play-by-play or color commentator in the future, but I wouldn’t be opposed to it.”

With a laugh, Carmella noted that she would want to work with Michael Cole instead of her husband Corey Graves. She said:

“If I did do it, I would have to do with Michael Cole and not you. I would divorce you over that. You’d be yelling at me, telling me how terrible I am, there is no way in hell.”

Carmella last wrestled in a loss to Asuka on the February 27 edition of WWE Raw. She will now face Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair on next Monday’s episode.
