Carmelo Hayes has regained the NXT North American Championship with a win over Cameron Grimes at In Your House tonight.
The win came thanks to Hayes’ cornerman Trick Williams, who grabbed onto Grimes’ leg on the apron with the referee distracted, which allowed Hayes time to recover and land his top-rope leg drop to spell the end of a really good match.
As has been established in recent weeks on NXT 2.0 TV, Hayes’ first title defence will be against Solo Sikoa.
