NXT Breakout Tournament winner Carmelo Hayes has taken to Twitter to discuss a potential dream match with Kofi Kingston.
On Twitter, Hayes noted that his sights were set on a match with the former WWE Champion. Predicting that everyone will rejoice, Hayes tweeted:
“The first time me vs @TrueKofi happens, it’s gonna steal the show.”
On the August 24 edition of NXT, Hayes defeated Odyssey Jones in the finals of the 2021 NXT Breakout Tournament. Jones was recently competing in dark matches before episodes of Raw and SmackDown.
Hayes was defeated by Santos Escobar on the most recent (September 7) edition of the show. Tuesday’s show was the last before the brand gets revamped ahead of the September 14 episode.
Set for next week’s show is a four-way match to decide the #1 contender for Samoa Joe’s NXT Championship.
