Carmelo Hayes Responds To Trick Williams WWE SmackDown Call Up Tease

Carmelo Hayes has responded to a tease that Trick Williams may be receiving a main roster call up on next week’s SmackDown.

On last week’s WWE Smackdown show, WWE announced that it was currently in the midst of a ‘transfer window’, allowing stars to switch between brands in the coming weeks.

It was announced that Raw General Manager Adam Pearce, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis and NXT General Manager Ava would be holding discussions ahead of the window, and that all three brands would be involved.

On the show, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis told Carmelo Hayes that he would be facing off with a new superstar to SmackDown next week, which has led to a lot of speculation as to who it could be.

One name mentioned is current NXT Champion Trick Williams, who has an obvious history with Carmelo Hayes dating back to their time in NXT, who many have speculated could be called up to the main roster.

Taking to Twitter, Hayes shared a photo of WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, asking Aldis if he would be the chosen opponent for him next week, saying:

When one fan responded with a photo of Trick Williams, Hayes commented on the possibility of Trick being called up, saying:
