In the latest episode of Being The Elite, AEW announced several modifications to the rules of its battle royal at Double Or Nothing, in addition to a new name for the bout.
The match, previously the Over The Budget Battle Royal will now be known as the Casino Battle Royale, in keeping with the Las Vegas theme of the event. By the same token, the match will feature (lucky) 21 wrestlers competing rather than the more traditional 20.
The new rules are as follows:
- Five men will start the match
- Every three minutes another five men enter the bout
- Lucky Number 21 will enter last
- Battle Royal entry numbers are picked at a later date
The competitors announced thus far for the Casino Battle Royale are:
- Sonny Kiss
- Kip Sabian
- Brandon Cutler
- Ace Romero
- Brian Pillman Jr.
- Sunny Daze
- Joey Janela
- Chuck Taylor
- Trent Baretta
That’s 11 so far, leaving 10 spots open for new participants, many of whom are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
