Castle vs Scurll set for Supercard of Honor

Castle vs Scurll set for Supercard of Honor

Marty Scurll has become a fan favorite across the independent scene in recent years thanks to his unique gimmick, undeniable charisma and great ring presence. Since debuting in Ring of Honor back in 2016, Scurll has been a part of some of the most memorable ROH moments in recent memory with The Villain’s introduction to the Bullet Club being a key example.

The Villain asserted himself as a star to watch in the future during a lengthy run with the Television Championship which included successful defences against the likes of Adam Cole and Leo Rush. However, Scurll has yet to compete for the World Title but this changed with a recent win over Punishment Martinez at ROH’s 16th Anniversary Show. This earned Scurll an opportunity to face Dalton Castle for the belt at Supercard of Honor and a chance to join the likes of Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan and many more who have been the face of Ring of Honor.

Castle defeated Cody Rhodes to become World Champion at Final Battle in December and proved he is a titleholder to be taken seriously with a recent win over former champion, Jay Lethal. Dalton Castle was also Marty Scurll’s first opponent in ROH so a win for the Bullet Club member really would bring his journey to the top full circle come April 7th.

The match will serve as a double main event on a stacked show alongside Cody Rhodes vs Kenny Omega which is one of the most anticipated matches in the promotion’s history. A Ladder Match for the 6 Man Tag Titles between So Cal Uncensored and The Young Bucks and Flip Gordan is one that will surely have fans jumping out of their seats in awe as well as an exciting encounter between Kota Ibushi and Adam ‘Hangman’ Page. With these matches and more to still be announced, Supercard of Honor is quite simply a can’t miss event.
