Cedric Alexander Comments On Joining The Hurt Business And Ali Leading Retribution

Cedric Alexander joined the Hurt Business recently after months of being beaten up by the group. However, he wasn’t the only person who turned his back on Apollo Crews and Ricochet.

In the case of Ricochet, we’re not talking about Vince McMahon. We’re talking about Mustafa Ali. Alexander was a guest on Devon Dudley’s Table Talk podcast.

He talked about being happy for Ali:

“Honestly, I was sitting back and watching it unfold. I was extremely surprised. Honestly, in a weird way, it made me excited because I’ve been waiting to get a hold of Ali again ever since we had our match at WrestleMania [34]. Now that Ali decided to make better business decisions than hanging out with Apollo [Crews] and Ricochet, I’m interested to see what he’s really going to do. I’ve always thought that Ali had a bit of a mean streak. He was one of the nicer guys in the locker room, didn’t really cause a lot of trouble.”

With them having been enemies and Ali leading a group that has been attacking The Hurt Business, it seems odd for him to be happy. He clarified:

“Mustafa Ali has never beaten me in any way, shape, or form. Singles match or tag-team match, Ali has never beaten me. So, that’s part of why I’m so excited that he decided to join RETRIBUTION. Now, I get to get my hands on Ali again and see if he actually learned something from me the last few years we’ve been apart.”

So, now that he’s a part of The Hurt Business, how does Alexander feel about his new team?

“It’s humbling. It’s something I never thought would happen, which is true, but at the same time, it was one of those things it was meant to be because I’ve known Shelton [Benjamin] for almost 10 years now. I’ve known Bobby [Lashley] and MVP for a few years just off and on, and now, seeing that I’m able to – and I said it before, being able to learn from the three physically gifted and talented athletes in WWE, words can’t really describe it. I feel like I’ve been given the golden ticket to success and there’s no way I can mess it up.”

When and if Cedric returns to TV, we should expect to see Retribution and The Hurt Business do battle. So, in some form, we should see Ali and Alexander cross paths again.
