Cedric Alexander Vs. AJ Styles Set For WWE Raw

Cedric Alexander Vs. AJ Styles Set For WWE Raw

This week on Raw, The O.C. attacked Cedric Alexander backstage after AJ Styles and The O.C. were denied Universal and Raw Tag Team Championship matches respectively at Clash of Champions.

Many people expected that this beatdown would lead to Cedric Alexander challenging AJ Styles for the United States Championship at the upcoming pay-per-view.

However, it appears that instead of Clash of Champions on September 15, we will be getting AJ Styles vs. Cedric Alexander this week on Raw.

WWE took to Twitter to confirm that the duo will be going head-to-head inside Madison Square Garden in three nights time.

WWE.com‘s article had the following to say on the matter:

“A backstage attack by The O.C. hindered Cedric Alexander’s chances of advancing in the King of the Ring tournament on Raw, and now this astoundingly athletic Superstar will have a chance at retribution against United States Champion AJ Styles when he battles The Phenomenal One this Monday night.

With his King of the Ring dreams tarnished by Styles and his nefarious allies Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, Alexander will no doubt hold nothing back against the U.S. Champion. Will Alexander settle the score?”

Despite the match being booked for Monday’s Raw, it seems quite likely that we will also see Cedric vs. Styles at Clash of Champions, this time with the United States Championship on the line.

The O.C. will likely either attack Cedric before or during the match, leading to the pay-per-view match between booked for the following Sunday.
