Sheamus has opened up about Cesaro’s shock WWE departure, providing an update on the popular star.
Cesaro left WWE last month after his contract expired, with the two sides unable to come to terms on a new deal.
In an interview with DallasNews.com, Sheamus discussed his bond with the Swiss Superman, noting that they stay in touch all the time.
Noting that Cesaro is as hungry as he’s ever been, Sheamus said:
“Honestly, when we started, Cesaro was like an acquaintance. When we started The Bar, we became brothers. I just saw him last week when I was staying in Florida. We stay in touch all the time. Legacy wise, I think he’s one of the greatest I’ve ever stepped in the ring with. I never had to worry about anything. He made me a better wrestler, better performer just by tagging with him.
On Friday’s episode of SmackDown, Sheamus and Ridge Holland (re)introduced Pete Dunne to the main roster, as ‘Butch’. The original plans for Sheamus, Holland and Butch at WrestleMania 38 will now have to be changed, which you can read more about right here.
