Chad Gable was supposed to face Elias tonight in the King of the Ring. Shane McMahon inserted himself into the King of the Ring Tournament as a replacement for Elias. He also made Kevin Owens the special guest referee.
Chad Gable German suplexed Shane up almost immediately to pick up the quick win. Or did he? Shane O’Mac quickly grabbed the mic and turn the match into a 2 out of 3 falls match.
Oh, that's it? OKAY!

We haven’t seen Shane McMahon or 2 out of 3 falls matches in several weeks. Unlike Baron Corbin, this break did not make either feel fresh.
However, the finish was very fresh. Not only did Gable win, he won in two falls and by submission Gable advances to the finals against Baron Corbin.
