Phew. When Drake Maverick announced that he had a special surprise for 205 Live fans, I think a lot of people worried that Johnny Gargano was about to be called up to the cruiserweight division. While sitll not ideal, it was in fact Chad Gable that made his debut.
Former tag team champion Gable made his debut against Gentleman Jack Gallagher, and picked up his first televised win since January 27 on the Royal Rumble kick-off show.

While it’s nice to see Gable being used for something, it’s a shame that it has to be on 205 Live, a show that WWE clearly doesn’t care about, given that there are currently only 11 people on the roster (12 with Gable.
The man is seriously talented in the ring and has shown glimpses of incredible promise in the little TV time he’s had.
It wasn’t made clear whether Gable is a permanent member of the roster, or whether he’ll just be popping in now and then to fill up a space in one of the show’s matches.
Do you think this is a good move for Chad Gable? Let us know what you think about the debut in the comments.
