WWE has announced Raw vs SmackDown inter-brand champion vs champion matches for the November 22 Survivor Series pay-per-view.
Providing they still have the titles come the show, WWE Champion Randy Orton will represent Raw against the Universal Champion of SmackDown Roman Reigns.
Furthermore, Raw’s United States Champion Bobby Lashley will be facing SmackDown’s Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn. The same is happening with Raw Women’s Champion Asuka and SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks.
Also, Raw Tag Team Champions the New Day will be taking on SmackDown Tag Team Champions the Street Profits. The teams actually swapped belts a couple of weeks ago after being drafted to opposite brands.
Throughout the show, commentary referred to Survivor Series as the one night of the year that Raw and SmackDown go head-to-head in direct competition, so with that and the announced matches, it certainly seems NXT won’t be involved this time around.
Updates on the Raw teams for the men’s and women’s traditional elimination matches will be on the site tonight too after they are announced during the show.
