A championship celebration and a new match has been added to the April 14 edition of WWE SmackDown.
On the April 10 episode of WWE Raw, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez defeated Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
On Friday afternoon, WWE announced that Morgan and Rodriguez will have a special championship celebration following their win on tonight’s SmackDown. On their website, the company wrote:
After overcoming Becky Lynch and her substitute partner Trish Stratus to capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles on Monday’s Raw, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez are returning to SmackDown for a special Championship Celebration!
Join the triumphant new titleholders, tonight at 8/7 C on FOX.
A new match has also been added to the lineup for the show. The rivalry between The Judgment Day and LWO will heat up as Damian Priest will go one-on-one with Santos Escobar.
To promote the match, WWE wrote the following on their website:
Even before being named as part of the new LWO by Rey Mysterio, Legado Del Fantasma have been ready and willing to back up the WWE Hall of Famer against The Judgment Day.
After Mysterio and Santos Escobar fell short against Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio in tag team action last Friday, Escobar will now take on Priest.
Don’t miss the highly-personal showdown, tonight at 8/7 C on FOX.
This match and segment joins the lineup for tonight’s show, which includes the return of Shinsuke Nakamura and LA Knight vs. Xavier Woods.
