It wouldn’t be WrestleMania weekend without a ladder match… The day before WrestleMania 34, the NXT North American Championship Ladder Match arguably stole the weekend, earning 5 Stars from Dave Meltzer. The year prior, the Raw Tag Team Championship Ladder Match at WrestleMania 33 featuring the return of the Hardy Boyz generated one of the loudest pops of the year.
The company usually use a ladder match to showcase several of their talent in one match, giving the crowd their dose of hardcore high spots. However, it would appear that just four days before NXT Takeover: New York and a further two days before WrestleMania 35, there is no ladder match scheduled for either show.
However, a recent promotional graphic for NXT Takeover: New York released by WWE might have given away that the ladder match stipulation will be added to one of the championship matches.
So did anybody notice the random ladders placed on the women’s side of the NXT Takeover: New York graphic? pic.twitter.com/GC8bQ1HVOj

Shayna Baszler is set to defend her NXT Women’s Championship against Io Shirai, Bianca Belair, and former champion Kairi Sane. Underneath the four girls on the promotional graphic, you can clearly see two ladders amongst the buildings. Some have speculated that this could indicate the ladder match stipulation will be added to the match either on the final NXT show before Takeover on Wednesday night, or even later.
Failing that, some have speculated that the Smackdown Tag Team Championships could be defended in a ladder match. A bout for the titles has not been confirmed yet, but reports are suggesting that a multi-man match will be made for the titles on the final Smackdown before WrestleMania tomorrow night.
