An NXT Women’s Championship match has been added to the upcoming all-women’s WWE Evolution 2025 premium live event.
After being dormant since the inagural version of the event in 2018, Evolution is returning on July 13, taking place in Atlanta, Georgia.
Tonight’s June 10 episode of NXT featured a big announcement regarding the PLE.
On tonight’s show, NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne made her first defense of the title since winning it from Stephanie Vaquer, retaining against newcomer Lainey Reid.
After the match, NXT General Manager Ava appeared on the platform in the Performance Center to make an announcement.
Ava stated that Jayne will defend the NXT Women’s Championship at WWE Evolution.
As far as her opponent, that will be decided in the coming weeks – there will be a series of four singles matches, leading to a four-way match.
The winner of that eventual four-way match will be Jayne’s challenger at Evolution.
The four singles matches are:
Lash Legend vs. Kelani Jordan
Zaria vs. Izzi Dame
Thea Hail vs. Jaida Parker
Lola Vice vs. Jordynne Grace
