At WrestleMania, Apollo Crews defeated Big E in a Nigerian Drum Fight with help from the debuting Commander Azeez to win his first Intercontinental Championship.
Since that show, Apollo has had to fight off 3 different men all looking for a shot at his title, those being Big E, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.
On tonight’s episode of SmackDown, all three men interrupted Apollo’s ceremony where he planned to award Commander Azeez a Nigerian Medal of Honor, resulting in the four men brawling.
Later in the night, Apollo Crews confronted WWE official Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville, who announced that next week on SmackDown, Apollo will defend the Intercontinental Championship against all three in a four-way match.
