Championship Match Announced For WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2026 WWE

The first match has officially been announced for the upcoming WWE NXT Vengeance Day premium live event on March 7.

On February 3, a seven-man Ladder match took place on WWE NXT, with Joe Hendry, Ricky Saints, Jackson Drake, Keanu Carver, Sean Legacy, Shiloh Hill and Dion Lennox facing off for the vacant NXT Championship vacated by Oba Femi following his main roster call up.

The match was won by Joe Hendry, beginning his first reign as NXT Champion, with Hendry making his first defence of the title on last week’s episode of NXT against Jackson Drake.

After the match, Ricky Saints would jump Hendry, and he would address his attack on Hendry on tonight’s episode of NXT.

Saints claimed that Hendry was dragging down NXT by being the champion after he had worked hard to elevate the brand, saying that the title is now held by a social media star who is ‘only the best at marketing’.

Hendry would challenge Saints to enter the ring for a fight, but Saints would instead tell him he will face him for the NXT Championship at Vengeance Day.
