A change made to a championship match on last night’s AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event has been revealed following the show.
9 matches took place on the main card of last night’s AEW Full Gear show, including 5 championship matches.
One of the title matches saw the crowning of a new champion, when Daniel Garcia defeated Jack Perry to capture his first championship in AEW.
The match ended up being the sixth match of the night, which was reportedly not the initial plan.
Per PWInsider, at one point, the TNT Championship clash was slated to go on earlier in the show, but a change was made in the match order ahead of the show.
Following his TNT Championship victory, Daniel Garcia appeared in the post-show media scrum, where he declared himself as the first confirmed participant in the Continental Classic, which is set to begin on next week’s Dynamite show.
The reason behind the chaotic closing angle of the pay-per-view has also been revealed, which you can see here.
