Change Made To Current WWE Championship

Change Made To Current WWE Championship WWE

A change has been made to the rules regarding a current WWE championship following a recent title change on television.

After weeks of back and forth with Charlie Dempsey, Lexis King managed to finally win and keep the NXT Heritage Cup on last week’s episode of NXT, where he defeated Charlie Dempsey.

Over the weeks, Lexis has been mentored by William Regal, who has been attempting to steer Lexis straight, leading to a shift in character from the King, but it seems that was short lived.

On tonight’s NXT show, Lexis King came to the ring with his Heritage Cup, where he ran down the crowd, saying that he was never going to change, and he’s at his best when he is his father’s son.

Also in the promo, King announced that he was making a change to the Heritage Cup, saying that the cup would no longer be defended using the rounds and time limit it previously used, and matches for it would instead be one fall to a finish.

King was interrupted by TNA’s JDC, the former Fandango who made his way to the ring to his old WWE theme song, who challenged King to a Heritage Cup match next week.
