A major change is set to be made to the NXT Tag Team Championship match at the Vengeance Day premium live event.
The event, which will be NXT’s first event back on the road since Portland in 2020, will see the New Day defend their NXT Tag Team Championship against both Gallus and Pretty Deadly.
Well, while that fact remains true, it won’t only be Pretty Deadly and Gallus getting the title shot on that night.
New Day took part in a backstage segment on tonight’s (January 24) NXT show, where they were interrupted by both Edris Enofe & Malik Blade and the Schism.
Both teams wanted a shot at the titles, before the New Day announced a ‘Tag Team Invitational’ for next week’s show.
Enofe and Blade will take on Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid, with the winning team being added to the NXT Tag Team Championship match at Vengeance Day.
Later in the night, Duke Hudson told Andre Chase that they also will be a part in the bout, making it a Triple Threat tag team match.
