At Ring of Honor’s 17th-anniversary show on Friday night, ROH World Champion Jay Lethal went to a 60-minute time limit draw against challenger Matt Taven. Jay Lethal’s opponent for the G1 Supercard on April 6th, Marty Scurll, would then come out and pose with the ROH Championship.

At their tapings in Las Vegas, ROH announced a change to the G1 title match. Matt Taven will be added to the Scurll-Lethal bout on the night before WrestleMania 35. The three-way championship bout was also announced to be a ladder match.
The G1 Supercard show is shaping up nicely, with Jeff Cobb set to face Will Ospreay for the ROH TV and NEVER Openweight Championships, and Jay White defending his IWGP Heavyweight Championships against the winner of the ongoing New Japan Cup tournament.
