WWE
A change has been made to WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event tonight, which will play host to the retirement match of John Cena.
As requested by Cena himself, a theme throughout the other matches on the show is main roster stars vs NXT talents.
One of those matches sees World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Dragon Lee face NXT‘s Je’Von Evans and TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater.
Earlier in the week, WWE’s website stated that this match would see Styles and Lee put their championship on the line, as the preview stated:
At Saturday Night’s Main Event, World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Dragon Lee will put their title on the line against two of the hottest prospects in NXT, the explosive Je’Von Evans and TNA X Division Champion Leon Slater.
Who will leave as champions?
However, WWE has now updated its website preview to remove the reference to the title being defended, so it looks like it’s been changed to a non-title match:
At Saturday Night’s Main Event, World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Dragon Lee will battle two of the hottest prospects in NXT, the explosive Je’Von Evans and TNA X Division Champion Leon Slater.
