Change To WWE WrestleMania 41 Championship Match Creative Update WWE

A backstage update has emerged regarding a big change made to a previously announced WWE WrestleMania 41 championship match.

When IYO SKY defeated Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship on the March 3 episode of WWE Raw, the Genius of the Sky also officially booked her spot in a WrestleMania 41 title defence against number one contender Bianca Belair.

Despite WWE publicly advertising that match for The Show of Shows, many fans assumed that Ripley would find her way into the Women’s World Title proceedings by the time April 19-20 rolled around.

On tonight’s WWE Raw in Brussels, Ripley gatecrashed a face-to-face meeting between SKY and Belair for the second week running, only this time doing more than just getting physically involved, as she also signed her name to the contract for Belair and SKY’s match at WrestleMania 41.

While Adam Pearce blew a gasket at Ripley’s actions and refused to make officially make the match a three-way, that is in fact the direction WWE are going in according to a new report from Fightful Select.

As stated in the report, a three-way between SKY, Belair and Ripley has been the creative plan within WWE for WrestleMania 41, with Ripley and Belair being planned to work with one another for a number of months.

Following his refusal to add Ripley to the WrestleMania 41 match, The Eradicator sent a message to Adam Pearce after WWE Raw – click here for full details.
