WWE is seemingly set for a full retro look and feel for the upcoming NBC special, Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14.
According to a new interview with Jesse ‘The Body’ Ventura, the retro theme isn’t only being applied to graphics and his presence on commentary, but there’ll also be more throughout the entire look and feel of the event.
In an appearance on the Bill Simmons Show podcast, Jesse Ventura shared details about the plans for Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Ventura said:
“The whole show is going to be a throwback.
“That means it’s going to look like it did before, the graphics, everything.
“The wrestlers are not coming down that ramp. They’re not coming with all the lights and spectacle.
“They’re coming in through the crowd like the old days. That’s why they brought me back.
“We’re going back in the time capsule.”
Jesse Ventura will be on commentary for the WWE special set to air live on NBC this coming Saturday, December 14, 2024.
Earlier, a special retro surprise was teased in a video featuring Triple H presenting Cody Rhodes with a mystery item for Saturday.
