An update has emerged on Charlotte Flair following speculation that WWE plans to add her to a match at WWE Crown Jewel.
In recent weeks, the Raw Women’s Champion has been feuding with Sasha Banks, Bianca Belair and SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. Banks, Belair and Lynch are set to face off for the SmackDown Women’s Title in a three-way match at the Saudi Arabia show.
Due to Flair’s involvement in the feud, some have speculated that we might see The Queen added to the title bout in some capacity. As per Fightful Select (subscription required), Flair is not listed internally for the show. The report also noted that a number of talents who travelled to Saudi Arabia haven’t seen Flair.
Additionally, the Raw Women’s Champion is scheduled for a signing in Wichita on Friday morning, ahead of SmackDown. Flair will officially join the Blue Brand on Friday, after she was moved to SmackDown during the WWE Draft.
As of writing, the only Smackdown talents scheduled to compete at Crown Jewel are Sasha Banks, Roman Reigns, The Usos, Drew McIntyre, Xavier Woods, Zelina Vega, Mansoor and Mustafa Ali. Fightful noted that WWE will likely not be bringing full crews to Saudi Arabia shows moving forward to make sure shows aren’t left shorthanded if issues arise with leaving the country, as they did in 2019.
