This week on NXT, Charlotte Flair interrupted the main event match between Rhea Ripley and Io Shirai. As such, WWE confirmed later on in the week that Charlotte will defend her NXT Women’s Championship against both women in a triple threat at NXT TakeOver: In Your House next month.
To build towards the match, it has just been confirmed via social media that Ripley and Shirai will team up on the 05/27 show next week to take on Charlotte Flair and a partner of her choosing in tag team competition
Per General Manager @RealKingRegal, @RheaRipley_WWE & @shirai_io will team up against #WWENXT #WomensChampion @MsCharlotteWWE and a partner of her choosing this Wednesday on @WWENXT! https://t.co/1xqsjes37Y

What makes this interesting is Charlotte Flair is a Raw star, who also holds the NXT Women’s Championship, but faced Bayley on this week’s episode of SmackDown, meaning she has appeared across all three WWE brands over the last few weeks.
Charlotte wrestled on the 05/18 episode of Raw, defeating Ruby Riott, as well as the 05/22 episode of SmackDown last night, where she lost to Bayley. Flair has also been announced for a match next week on Raw, that will see her compete against Nia Jax and Natalya for the chance to face Asuka for the Raw Women’s Championship at Backlash.
This means that in just nine days, Charlotte will have wrestled FOUR TIMES for WWE, appearing on every single Raw, SmackDown and NXT show that they have put on during that period, which is insane.
I am a big Charlotte Flair fan, and have gone on record to say I think she is WWE’s best-ever female performer. However, I understand why WWE fans are annoyed with how she has been booked, especially considering she is booked on almost every single show at the moment.
If WWE was smart, they’d space out her appearance, so fans who don’t like her don’t have to see her every single time they flick on the TV to watch WWE programming.
