Charlotte Flair Reveals Biggest Change Following Triple H Taking Over WWE Creative

SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair has shared her honest thoughts on the major change in WWE management.

A lot changed backstage during Flair’s 2022 wrestling hiatus. At WrestleMania Backlash that May, Flair dropped the SmackDown Women’s Title to Ronda Rousey, under the Vince McMahon regime.

She won the gold back on the December 30, 2022 edition of SmackDown, with Triple H leading creative following McMahon’s departure that July.

Speaking with the Daily Mail, Flair noted that for her, the hardest part about the management transition was familiarising herself with all the new faces, following the influx of returning stars and NXT call-ups.

When asked if her return was seamless, despite the change in management, Flair said:

“Yes. I think it’s different for me because I’m already established. Triple H was my boss early on, he’s my boss now, whether it’s Triple H or Vince, I think the biggest change for a talent in leadership is more the new talent.

‘I’ve been under both reigns. My job is to perform and to make the best product. We’re not really changing Charlotte along the way. My job is to make Triple H happy right now. If it’s Vince, my job is to make Vince happy.

‘The transition is very easy, it’s definitely not a difficult transition. From a character standpoint it hasn’t changed, but the transition from one boss to another has been easy for me.’

Flair is slated to defend her gold against Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39.
