Charlotte Flair and Andrade first made their relationship public at the Hall of Fame ceremony the night before WrestleMania 35. This made it even more surprising when TMZ reported that two Smackdown stars were engaged to be married so quickly.
Rumours started circulated after Charlotte, who defeated Bayley on last night’s Smackdown to earn a Smackdown Women’s Championship match with Becky Lynch at Money In The Bank, was pictured with what seemed like an engagement ring on her finger.
However, Pro Wrestling Sheet has revealed that Charlotte provided them with a statement that provides some clarity on the situation:
Don’t believe everything you read online. Unless you read that I’m the most decorated women’s wrestler ever, because that is fact.
No, we are not currently engaged
This comes after it was also reported that Charlotte Flair was unhappy with being separated with Andrade in the Superstar Shakeup, perhaps explaining why he was drafted back to Smackdown.
