Charlotte Flair On Her Suspension: ‘They Needed Me Back On Raw’

Charlotte Flair went too far last week by attacking a WWE referee after her DQ loss to Asuka on Raw, and was subsequently fined $100,000 and suspended for one whole week.

Actually it was an indefinite suspension, but she was back on Raw this week, with Sonya Deville unsuspending her after she apologised to the referee she attacked.

Flair was asked about her suspension while appearing on WWE’s The Bump today, and admitted she thought her suspension would be two weeks long. Imagine thinking that when you hear “indefinite”.

“It was very relaxing.I enjoyed the beach. I actually thought I was going to have a two-week suspension. But you know, business comes first. They needed me back on Raw,” she said.

Charlotte also went on to say she doesn’t care what her critics are saying about her return.

“I’m just gonna take every opinion…I don’t know how to properly say it. I think that’s kind of the idea of being the opportunity is, ‘Oh, she takes everyone’s opportunities.’ Well, I’m just gonna spin it and put some truth into it because I am the opportunity.”

Many assume Charlotte will take on Raw Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley either one-on-one or in a triple threat match including Asuka at WrestleMania’s Backlash next month.
