Charlotte Flair Reveals Pitch For Ric Flair’s Last Match She Nixed WWE

WWE star Charlotte Flair has revealed an idea pitched for Ric Flair’s Last Match that she had scrapped.

On July 31, Ric Flair will team with Andrade El Idolo to battle Jay Lethal & Jeff Jarrett.

In an interview with Marc Raimondi of ESPN, Charlotte revealed that her 73 year old father had pitched to do a dive to the outside during the bout.

Noting that she shut the idea down, Charlotte said:

“A lot of our men and women in all companies miss those all the time. I was like, ‘No, not needed, not necessary. Wasn’t necessary in your prime, isn’t necessary now. So, no.'”

Ric Flair recently revealed that Charlotte will be one of several WWE names in attendance for his retirement match.

Charlotte herself hasn’t wrestled since losing her SmackDown Women’s Championship to Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania Backlash in May.

During her WWE absence, Charlotte had her wedding, getting married to Andrade El Idolo.

Both Ric and Andrade have been dealing with injuries ahead of the Ric Flair’s Last Match event.
