Top WWE Star Heaps Praise On AEW Star Following Collision AEW, WWE

A top WWE star has taken time to to heap praise on the performance of a member of the AEW roster following an excellent showing on the AEW Collision premiere (June 17).

Andrade El Idolo made his long-awaited return to the ring against Buddy Matthews in a well-received contest by fans in attendance and online.

Unsurprisingly joining in was 14-time world champion Charlotte Flair who reacted to her husband Andrade El Idolo’s first match in ten months, saying:

PAPI.

One of the best in the world.

That’s what happens when you get to SHINE

Charlotte was not the only member of the Flair family to applaud the return as Andrade’s father-in-law Ric Flair also gave the match high-praise, saying:

Congratulations To @SNM_Buddy & @AndradeElIdolo!

The Best Match I’ve Seen In A Year That @MsCharlotteWWE Wasn’t Involved In! WOOOOO! #AEWCollision

Andrade secured the win by taking a page right out of the Flair playbook, more specifically his wife Charlotte’s as he locked in a figure-eight submission to the delight of the Chicago audience.

However, after the win Andrade would be ambushed by the House of Black, despite attempting to shake Matthews’ hand after the bell.

The angle between Andrade and House of Black looks set to continue on next week’s Collision, if comments made by Andrade afterwards are any indication.

Andrade was of course not the only returning star at Collision as CM Punk opened and closed the debut broadcast.

Punk’s opening comments in his promo have seemingly been reacted to by the Young Bucks, to find out more follow this link here.
