More backstage details have emerged on Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair being drafted to SmackDown, as per a new report.
On last night’s (October 1) episode of SmackDown, Flair was moved to the Blue Brand during the first round of draft picks. As per Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc, FOX specifically asked for Charlotte Flair to be moved to SmackDown.
It’s worth mentioning that Wrestling Inc hasn’t had the best track record with exclusives in recent times, so maybe take this with a pinch of salt for now.
Flair won the Raw Women’s Championship at SummerSlam in a three-way match against former champion Nikki ASH and Rhea Ripley. SHe most recently defended the gold at Extreme Rules against Alexa Bliss, who Wrestling Inc has since reported will now be off WWE TV for several months.
SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch was not drafted on Friday’s show. The Man has confirmed that she will be eligible to be drafted on Raw, tweeting:
“The Man is not eligible to be picked until Monday. I wanted to give people more time to put money on the table.”
Lynch is set to defend her title against Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks at WWE Crown Jewel, before the WWE Draft takes effect.
