Charlotte Flair is the latest WWE star to weigh in on Pat McAfee’s involvement in Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton’s WrestleMania 42 program.

In a decision that has dominated the discourse surrounding next weekend’s WrestleMania 42, Pat McAfee was revealed to be Randy Orton’s mystery caller on the April 3 episode of WWE SmackDown.

Both during that episode, and on this week’s show on April 10, McAfee and Orton have beaten down Rhodes, with the former NFL punter claiming that he and Orton are together “saving the business,” comments that have ruffled the feathers of some talent.

CM Punk voiced his displeasure at McAfee’s involvement in the main event of Night One of WrestleMania 42 during a fiery “pipe bomb” promo on the April 6 WWE Raw, referring to him as “Pat MAGAfee” and promising that a “receipt” was coming his way.

Then, whilst speaking to Gabby LaSpisa, Damian Priest revealed that a lot of people in the WWE locker room “weren’t happy” with McAfee getting the spot he has been given ahead of WrestleMania 42, with the current WWE Tag Team Champion saying he was “pissed off” by it, and the content of Pat’s promo on the April 3 SmackDown.

Now, Charlotte Flair has become the latest star to be asked what she thinks about Pat McAfee’s storyline with Orton and Rhodes, with the 14-time world champion sitting down with YouTuber Jeremy Jacobowitz.

Unlike Priest however, “The Queen” was indifferent to McAfee’s antics, saying it’s not her place to have an opinion on it given that she’s not involved in the angle.

Flair said:

“I’m so into what I’m doing right now. I’m not in that storyline, so it’s not my place whether I like it or don’t like it.

“I’m just a fan of Cody and Randy because I’m a legacy kid and they’re legacy kids. You know the three favorite nepo babies (laughs).”

Pat McAfee’s Teased ‘Massive Surprise’ Leads To More Disappointment

Ahead of the April 10 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Pat McAfee teased the reveal of a “massive surprise” on the show; something which sparked hopes from some fans that WWE may rectify their decision to interject McAfee in the WrestleMania 42 build in some way.

While fans hoped that perhaps another individual, such as The Rock, may get involved as an extra ally of McAfee and Orton, Pat’s surprise was the announcement that DODGE Ram – an official sponsor of WrestleMania 42 – had agreed to foot the bill for 25% of all tickets sold for “The Grandest Stage of Them All” between April 10 and the April 13 episode of WWE Raw.

This latest attempt to shift WrestleMania tickets does little but accentuate the need for WWE to do what CM Punk cried out for them to do on Monday’s WWE Raw: lower the ticket prices of their shows across the board.

Even with this discount, WWE were trying to charge much more initially, and given the sour taste in fans’ mouths regarding McAfee’s involvement, the company likely still face an uphill battle to shift the remaining tickets.
