Chelsea Green Shares Thoughts On Matt Cardona WWE Return

Chelsea Green has shared her thoughts on Matt Cardona’s recent return to WWE earlier this month, appearing on NXT.

Cardona made his return to WWE to face Josh Briggs on the October 14 episode of NXT.

Chelsea Green, Cardona’s wife, has now shared her thoughts on her partner’s return to WWE.

Speaking on Gabby AF, Green shared that she was “so proud” of her husband following his return, saying:

“I was so proud of him when he came back to NXT, the reaction he got… It was amazing, he deserves that and so much more.

“I know that I am biased, but he is by far, quite possibly, the best indie wrestler to ever come out of the indies. If you had asked me six years ago if I ever thought he could cut it on the indies, I’d have said ‘not a chance.’

“He has proved everyone wrong; all they saw him as was this typical babyface, boy band member. He has done a complete 180, changed everyone’s opinion of not only him but the independent scene and how you can make a living off of it.

“And he will go down in history as one of those people that forever changed professional wrestling independently.”

Green has previously stated she would “love” to have Cardona back in WWE, stating Cardona wants to be back, too.

Cardona has previously commented on being the subject of fan chants at WWE Night of Champions in June.
