Chelsea Green has named a former WWE Women’s Champion as an “empowering force” for women in professional wrestling.

Speaking on Limpin’ Ain’t Easy, Green opened up about her relationship with five-time WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James.

Describing the support she has received from James, Chelsea Green would note her impact on the industry, saying:

“I don’t think there’s anything better than getting positive feedback from not only your peers but from people that you looked up to. Mickie has been so supportive of me.

“Last week, she sent me ideas for pitches to suggest to the creative team. She is such an empowering force for women in this industry.”

Chelsea Green worked with James as far back as 2021 in NWA, including at their women’s pay-per-view Empower.

Being a positive force in women’s wrestling is something that Green hopes to pay forward, going on to say:

“I love when the girls slide into my DMs and ask me questions and want feedback.

“I want to be that positive force that Gail Kim and Mickie James have been in my life.

“I don’t know what would’ve happened if I didn’t have those women supporting me.”

James recently served as a coach on WWE LFG and reflected on the experience alongside Booker T and The Undertaker, noting that the reality television series has been renewed for three more years.

Chelsea Green returned to WWE in January 2023 at the Royal Rumble and went on to become the inaugural Women’s United States Champion, along with holding the Women’s Tag Team Championship.
