Chris Jericho Accepts Jon Moxley Challenge & Vows To Resurrect ‘Lionheart’ AEW

The AEW Dynamite main event tonight saw Wheeler Yuta put it all on the line taking on Chris Jericho for a major opportunity.

On tonight’s (August 3) AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho put his Interim AEW Championship opportunity set for next week’s Quake by the Lake edition of Dynamite on the line, taking on Wheeler Yuta.

With the hot crowd squarely behind Yuta as they chanted his name, it seemed possible that we could see Blackpool Combat Club members face off at Quake By The Lake.

In the end, Wheeler Yuta did submit to Jericho after being put in the Lion Tamer.

After the match, Jericho accepted Moxley’s challenge to “the last survivor of Stu Hart’s dungeon” as he vowed to resurrect the Lion Heart.

The episode ended with Mox getting an advance warning from Jericho who said to the champ, “I’m going to stretch the sh*t out of you.”

Elsewhere on the show, a match between ThunderStorm and Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. and Jamie Hayter, a big betrayal within a popular faction, and the update on a sobbing child who went viral after being shown on Dynamite reacting to that aforementioned shocking betrayal!
