Real Reason For Chris Jericho Upcoming AEW Absence Revealed AEW

An update has emerged on Chris Jericho’s AEW status and future, following speculation about a potential departure.

With Jericho losing his ROH World Championship to Bandido at Dynasty, the inaugural AEW World Champion noted on the April 9 Dynamite episode that he thought it’d be best if he left.

Details have now emerged on Jericho’s immediate future, with it reported by Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Jericho will be absent from AEW TV in the coming weeks.

He will be absent from TV during his tour with his band Fozzy, which runs from April 17 to May 12.

Fozzy’s tour doesn’t include many Wednesday dates reportedly because Jericho was originally planning to be available for AEW.

Jericho isn’t expected to appear for AEW during his tour now, with the report noting that Jericho believes it’s a good time for him to take a break.

This comes after reports that Chris Jericho is expected to be finishing up with ROH, following his ROH World Championship loss.
