Chris Jericho Gets AEW Star Banned From Show AEW

Thanks to Chris Jericho, there is an absence from tonight’s July 10 episode of AEW Dynamite in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Jericho has been embroiled in a rivalry with HOOK for quite some time now, and sometimes the rivalry spills over with some interactions with HOOK’s father Taz.

Taz, who is usually on commentary for AEW Dynamite, is not there for tonight’s show and has been replaced by Nigel McGuinness.

Lead announcer Exalibur explained that Jericho and The Elite were the reason for Taz not being present. Excalibur said:

“Taz is actually in the city of Calgary. He came to the building but because of Chris Jericho lobbying the EVPs, he was banned from the Saddledome, had to return back to the hotel, so we are joined tonight by Nigel McGuinness.”

A similar situation happened last week, as Taz did start the show on commentary, but was kicked out of the arena as Jericho took over in his place for one match.

Jericho is still the FTW Champion, a title he now calls the “For The World” Championship as another dig at Taz, who invented the title in ECW as the “F**k The World” Championship.

Jericho will be in action on tonight’s AEW Dynamite in ‘Stampede Street Fight’ against Samoa Joe.
