All Elite Wrestling World Champion Chris Jericho made an interesting comment recently when he called his title “a prop”. In an interview with The Aquarian, Jericho was asked if he joined AEW under the condition that he would be World Champion.
“It doesn’t work that way. I would never say that. The belt is just a prop anyway. The important thing is how you conduct yourself, how you work in the ring, and how you connect with the audience. That’s much more important than having a title.”
Chris Jericho clearly feels that what you do in the ring and how you do it is more important than any kayfabe accolade.
Jericho became the first ever AEW World Champion at ALL OUT by defeating Hangman Page. His next challenger will like be Jon Moxley and the setting will likely be Revolution on February 29.
