Chris Jericho has been involved in plenty of comedy segments throughout his career in both WWE and AEW, and he’s now criticised WWE’s comedy style.
Speaking on Konnan’s Keepin’ it 100 podcast, Jericho explained why WWE’s attempts at making us all laugh don’t work.
He said:
“My view of comedy is you always play it straight. WWE comedy is d**k and fart jokes. That’s why a lot of it doesn’t work well. Don’t try to be funny. Because when you try to be funny it’s never funny. And that’s been my attitude with all these segments.”
Chris Jericho was involved in plenty of comedy segments with Orange Cassidy, a feud built around Cassidy having doused Jericho in orange juice in the middle of the ring, and more recently with MJF including the polarising ‘Le Dinner Debonair’ performance.
