Chris Jericho Explains The Formation Of The Jericho Appreciation Society AEW

Chris Jericho has explained how the Jericho Appreciation Society came together.

During the post-AEW Double Or Nothing media scrum, the first-ever AEW World Champion discussed his Anarchy In The Arena match at the pay-per-view and how the Jericho Appreciation Society formed.

In regards to his new stable, Jericho explained:

“Well it’s kind of combination once again, Tony and I always laugh because we always have great mind think alike moments, where he’ll say the same thing and vice versa. And he put those three guys together, right so when we started thinking of like ok maybe I should because my original idea was to end up doing the feud with Eddie Kingston. You can’t win the big one, he wins the big one, we shake hands, we became partners maybe, we join up with Mox and become like some kind of a, I don’t know a trio of just kind of hard-nosed that sort of how it was.

“Then Bryan Danielson did the promo, where he said I’II start with my own faction with Moxley and I’II bring in this guy another Wheeler Yuta and I’ll bring in Daniel Garcia and I was thinking well that’s kind of a drag, you can do that Garcia 2.0 had been this trio, that was involved in me and Eddie’s story and I thought 2.0 was really good, kind of brought them in and didn’t know what to expect and they kind of really killed it. Then I started thinking why would we ever break them up. And why would I not use them and turn on everybody else, keep Jake as the heater and start a whole new faction and it was just like that’s it.”

The Jericho Appreciation Society defeated The Blackpool Combat Club, Eddie Kingston, Santana and Ortiz to win the first-ever Anarchy In The Arena Match at Double Or Nothing last night.
