A WWE name has pitched a scenario for Chris Jericho to be revealed as the mystery star at Survivor Series WarGames 2025.
In the men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series last night, a mystery man covered completely in black climbed into the cage and attacked CM Punk, leading to Bron Breakker pinning Punk and scoring the win for his team.
The mystery man notably used moves usually done by Seth Rollins – a superkick and a curb stomp – but his identity wasn’t revealed.
On his Notsam Wrestling show, WWE analyst Sam Roberts has suggested that Chris Jericho could eventually be revealed as the attacker even though he’s not signed with WWE right now.
Jericho is still under contract to AEW, but is expected to leave at the end of the year and return to WWE.
Roberts said:
“The beauty of having a masked man is you don’t even technically need to have it be the same guy that was used tonight. All you need is the guy to be there when it’s time to unmask.
“Who’s to say – if Chris Jericho ends up signing with WWE, is there a world where we stretch this out until Chris Jericho can unmask? I would say sure.
“And that would be really exciting, if Chris Jericho unmasked and that’s what you’ve got moving forward into 2026. That would be a lot of fun. Chris Jericho and CM Punk have history.”

After the attack, Breakker won the match for his team, which consisted of himself, Bronson Reed, Brock Lesnar, Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre. They scored the win over Punk, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns and The Usos.
Post-match, there was some tension between Rhodes and Reigns which could be pointing to another match between them down the line.
Breakker could also be in contention for a World Heavyweight Championship match after pinning Punk.
