There has been a lot of talk of late of NXT moving off of Wednesdays. It appears to be better for the show to run unopposed as illustrated by the ratings from the last few weeks. Now, Chris Jericho has chimed in, calling NXT embarrassing.
In an interview with talkSPORT, Jericho discussed NXT’s possible move to Tuesday. In short, he urged NXT to move to Tuesdays, saying they would get an extra 250,000 viewers each week. This would likely happen without the competition on the other channel, meaning more viewers for both shows. Here is the quote, courtesy of Alex McCarthy:
THE DEMO GOD HAS SPOKEN.@IAmJericho says NXT should leave Wednesday nights.
"Go to Tuesdays, grab an extra 250k viewers, finally get your demo where it needs to be because it’s embarrassing on a Wednesday night against us."https://t.co/rnqdFkd1co pic.twitter.com/kGJ4Sqa16a

“Go to Tuesdays, grab an extra 250k viewers, finally get your demo where it needs to be because it’s embarrassing on a Wednesday night against us.”
Jericho has spent a good amount of time over the last couple months calling himself the “Demo God”. This, of course, has played off Jericho being one of the biggest draws in the key demo during the Wednesday Night War.
Jericho had previously said that NXT “should retreat” to Tuesdays, signifying a victory for those at AEW.
