# Chris Jericho Returns On AEW Dynamite

Chris Jericho has made his return to AEW after a year away, despite the expectation that he was set to leave and return to WWE.

Tonight’s AEW Dynamite opened with Tony Schiavone in the ring about to introduce the MJF vs Kenny Omega contract signing, but he was cut off by the entrance of Jericho.

Dynamite is in Jericho’s hometown of Winnipeg tonight.

He made his return entrance with his Judas entrace music.

After several minutes in the ring without saying a word, he stated:

*“Winnipeg… AEW… I’m home.”*

There were no further developments as he exited the ring after saying that, and the MJF & Omega contract signing took place after.

Jericho had been absent from AEW TV since April 2025, with the belief that his deal was set to expire at the end of the year and he’d return to WWE for a final run.

However, after the end of 2025 came and went, he remained on the [AEW](https://wrestletalk.com/topic/aew/) roster and now looks to be fully back with the promotion.

## Will Chris Jericho Ever Return To WWE?

Now that we know he’s back in AEW, the question is whether Chris Jericho will *ever* return to WWE.

A lot of the expectation in recent months was that he’d return to WWE for a final run before then being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

However, now that he’s seemingly committed his future to AEW, will we ever see that happen?

At Jericho’s age, it seems like he may end up finishing his in-ring career in AEW at this point, because depending on when his contract ends, he might be of an age where he physically wouldn’t be able to have a run in WWE even if he does leave AEW in the future.
