Prior to All In, there was a lot of discussion over whether Neville or even CM Punk would be making a return to the ring, but alas, neither made an appearance at the largest non-WWE show in the states since WCW was still around.
Instead, it was Chris Jericho that will be stealing the headlines, giving the clearest indication that he is over his loyalty to WWE by appearing at All In to once again attack Kenny Omega.
Following Omega’s victory over Penta El Zero, the lights went out for around 30 seconds, which left everyone wondering who would be appearing.
But as the lights came back on, everything looked normal. However, Penta looked a bit different, and suddenly hit Omega with a codebreaker.
Ah yes, the old switch-a-roo. Jericho had swapped places with Penta, attacked Omega before telling the IWGP Heavyweight Champion “I’ll see you on the Jericho Cruise.”
Not exactly the most threatening line in the world, but his appearance brought with it an almighty pop, and is a huge kick in the balls for WWE, who despite seeing Jericho fight for NJPW, would have assumed he would never wrestle for anyone else within the US.
Sorry Vince, but he ain’t yo’ boy anymore.
