AEW/WWE
Chris Jericho reunited with a familiar WWE star at tonight’s Tampa Bay Lightning vs Dallas Stars ice hockey game.
Jericho has been in the headlines as of late amid a lengthy absence from AEW with his contract coming up, and the possiblity of a return to WWE at the start of next year.
One name that Jericho is very familiar with in WWE is Kevin Owens.
Jericho and Owens were in a storyline together in late 2016 and early 2017 that saw them become best friends before Owens turned on Jericho, setting up a match between the two at WrestleMania 33 for Jericho’s United States Championship.
Almost nine whole years later, the pair reunited as they were both in attendance at tonight’s Lightning vs Stars ice hockey gane at Benchmark International Arena.
Posting a selfie with Owens, Jericho added the caption:
Best Friends!
While Jericho has been absent from AEW TV since April, Owens has also been absent from WWE TV since April after undergoing neck surgery that ruled him out of action, including a planned match against Randy Orton at WrestleMania that month.
