AEW star Chris Jericho has revealed that he sustained an injury after a brutal match on last night’s AEW Dynamite.
Chris Jericho has revealed an injury after last night’s Barbed Wire Everywhere Death Match during AEW Dynamite Fyter Fest Night 3 which boasted a Shark Week theme.
In honor of Discovery Channel’s Shark Week, AEW got in on the nautical fun by suspending the Jericho Appreciation Society in a shark cage suspended above the arena.
Unfortunately for Eddie Kingston, after Tay Conti and Anna Jay attacked Ruby Soho to gain control of the cage and keys to free the JAS from it, the match turned into all out warfare.
Chris Jericho took to Twitter last night after the match to show off his bloody wounds and today, confirmation of an injury he sustained during the battle.
Announcing on Twitter, Jericho wrote:
“Just left the doctors office. It’s official….that SAVAGE @MadKing1981 broke my nose last night. #barbwireeverywhere @AEW”
Not letting a broken beak prevent him from pecking back at an earlier tweet from Bryan Danielson, Chris Jericho clarified his feelings about Danielson’s absence writing:
“Stay gone Danielson. You’re out of your league with me…..”
Intriguing events all around to close out AEW Dynamite last night, paving the way for an exciting edition of AEW Rampage set to air on Friday July 22, 2022.
