One of the most divisive wrestling segments of the year has been the Dinner Debonair. Chris Jericho and MJF sang a broadway number on AEW Dynamite and some people loved it and some didn’t. Either way, it got people talking.
Now, Jericho has revealed how long it took to film the segment. While speaking to David Penzer on Sitting Ringside, he revealed it took about seven hours to film the segment and another seven or eight hours to edit. Here is the quote, courtesy of Fightful:
“We got there around 5 and then we had to record the song and do the intro, the outro, then work on the dance. It wasn’t one long, live dance routine. We’re doing different takes and stuff. We finished around midnight and then it took another seven or eight hours to edit it.”
The segment ultimately led to MJF vs. Chris Jericho at Full Gear. The stipulation was if MJF beat Jericho he would get to join the Inner Circle and that is exactly what happened. Since then, the faction has continued their wacky antics with a group trip to Las Vegas on Dynamite.
