The much anticipated Broken Skull Sessions featuring AEW star Chris Jericho is now available to watch on demand on both Peacock and the WWE Network.
Jericho discussed everything from his debut in WWE, his various gimmick changes, his return in 2007, and even whether AEW and WWE are in competition with each other.
On that last point, Jericho doesn’t see WWE as competition, because both companies are just doing their own thing.
“I didn’t think there would be another national promotion again that could really…I don’t want to say competition, because we’re not in competition. Obviously, by proxy, we’re thrown into that, but we’re worried about our own stuff and doing things differently and doing things a different way to draw the fanbase to create more of the choices that we had during the Monday Night Wars. We haven’t had those choices in a while and now we do and people latched on to it.”
Jericho also explained that he felt he had to carry AEW on his shoulders for the first few months of the promotion’s existence.
