Chris Jericho Says WWE Match Was “The Worst Ever”

Chris Jericho is a very opinionated fellow and for good reason. When you have a 30-year career as he has, you are entitled to your opinions. One such opinion is what Jericho considers the worst match ever.

Speaking with talkSPORT, Jericho revealed his opinion for the worst match ever is the infamous DX vs. Brothers of Destruction match in Saudia Arabia from 2018. Here is the quote:

“The worst match I ever saw – and here’s your clickbait – was Saudi Arabia; Triple H and Shawn Michaels vs. Kane and Undertaker. That was such a stupid idea in the booking. It never should have happened.

It should have been Shawn and Hunter vs Roman and Seth and Taker and Kane vs… I don’t know – give me two names of guys – Cesaro and Kevin Owens, whatever you want.”

The match was panned by critics and fans alike. It won the “award” for Worst Match of the Year in both the WrestleTalk awards and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Awards. The match infamously was the only match Shawn Michaels has had since his retirement in 2010. Triple H also tore his pectoral muscle in the match. On the whole, the match was a disaster.

Jericho just celebrated 30 years in pro wrestling with this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
